Sorry you're not feeling well, abefroman. Feel better soon!

Thanks! My wife made frozen turkey meatballs for dinner on Sunday night and I thought I'd eaten too many and/or not been able to tolerate them when they came back up, but they made my wife sick too, so that bag went in the trash.

That looks like a LOT of food for a December sleever. How much of that can you get down?

I was thinking the same!

Tonight, dinner will be pork loin and sliced tomatoes. I like those Smithfield seasoned pork loins that come prepackaged. They're low carb, not super high in calories, and pretty easy to make in the oven.

1oz ground Turkey burger (homemade & grilled) with 0.25 oz bacon, 0.25 oz cheese and 0.5 oz of lettuce. 1tsp organic simply ketchup and mustard and just a few sautéed onions (taken from families fajitas) and then 1 pickle spear. The plate is the size of just my palm.
7 weeks out, I can eat anywhere from 1.5 to 2 oz (if that). I ate most the burger and half the pickle.

I was just in Ann Arbor a couple weeks ago and thinking "I wish I were having my surgery through a U-M program", but then I had to return to CO. Seeing you're eating, I doubly wish I were in Ann Arbor doing this! But a week out today and dealing with Protein Shakes and Bone Broth and looking forward to some puree this weekend.

What were you doing in Ann Arbor, Miss Topaz?

I love Ann Arbor. My kiddo is studying microbiology at UMich on a research track and has an apartment there. Such a fun city! So many cool things to do:) It's like a weird little international hub. So many cool people from everywhere.

Enjoy your purees! Man, I remember being excited about that:)

Congrats to your kiddo! I graduated from UMich long long ago.... One of my best friend's daughters wanted to check out the law school, so of course, I had to go along for the college visit! (she LOVED it) Was a great opportunity for "food funerals" too, even though I hadn't really planned on doing one. I just wish she'd picked a warmer weekend! Hubby went along because he wanted the food, likes Ann Arbor, and is trying to convince me to retire in the outskirts - exactly because it's such a hub of fun stuff to do. (I'm from West Mich and he's a Yooper originally) I'm enjoying Colorado, but he misses lakes and rivers, which I do understand.

Did you guys take a peek in the law library? That whole section of campus feels like you're at Hogwarts in a Harry Potter movie. Very cool:) I would very happily retire near AA!

We had a guided tour of the law quad. I remember the law library from my undergrad days and knew she'd love it. She said if she goes there, she wants wizard robes for her undergrad graduation gift!

LOL! Love it:) My kiddo's childhood inspiration movie was Jurassic Park. She recently sent me a recording of them playing the theme from the bell tower:)

You guys know how to eat. My dinner was not photo worthy. I had 2 chicken sausages. Not fancy, but filling and only 160 calories, but 26g of Protein. Every night is around 4 oz of lean protein.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
