I've been pretty lucky. The only things that have been difficult for me to eat are chicken, shrimp, and regular bread. I still eat chicken and shrimp regularly, but they fill me up extremely fast and give me that overly full, gross feeling. Steak and tuna are actually way easier for me to eat. Bread just sits like a rock, so I don't like to eat it. pizza is like that, too.

Fruits, veggies, and dairy seem to be fine for me.

I tolerate pretty much everything. Only time I have problems is when I eat too much, which I avoid like the plague.

But yeah, I'm lucky...Need to chew the hell out of everything, but it all goes down ok and have never experienced nausea since surgery.

I can tolerate most anything..Exception is running gel and gatorade. I can eat sugar in small amount but It makes me feel sluggish.

Only time I have thrown up is from the flu.

Love spicy and flavorful stuff.

Have to abridge what I said... refined sugar can be an issue for me. I can tolerate a couple of bites of a dessert or something naughty sweet (and really enjoy those couple of bites)....but if I try to eat a whole serving I'll feel like absolute poo.

I don't think it's true dumping syndrome cause I don't sweat or puke or need to lie down....I just feel kinda miserable for about 20 minutes...so I avoid it like hell. Maybe mild dumping?

But yeah...I do have to watch refined carbs and sugar. (which is probably for the best...as these things used to get me into trouble)

That is not an easy answer for me to provide. It depended on how far out I was from my surgery and what else I've eaten.

So for me, now that I'm fully healed, I can eat chicken and pork no problem! Those are the two that I am guaranteed to have a satisfying and non-food-sickies feeling afterwards. If you are looking for a 100% promise those are the two. Everything else could make me feel sick depending on the context/situation around what I'm eating. How rich it is, how much i've already eaten, how many carbs, etc. It's all a balancing act with me.

Oh, and Cereal. Apparently I can eat copious quantities of dry cereal (No milk because milk makes me sick now). lol! I'm not upset about this.

tuna, black Beans mashed with melted mozzarella, Soups, all sit well. eggs, cottage cheese, fish Halibut to be exact all sit super heavy and I can only eat about 1/2 oz at a time. I’m only 6 weeks post op so I haven’t really gotten into solid foods yet.

Soft meats or cheese are best for me. Ground turkey with taco seasoning, some refried Beans and a dab of sour cream is really good. I’m also eating a lot of chicken sausage (low calorie, high Protein, interesting flavors). No carbs for me, no sweets, tiny portions (3oz) and a LOT of chewing.

Right now the shakes are pretty much the only thing I can eat that don’t make me at least a little sick. But I remember when the shakes made me sick, too, so hopefully the stuff that’s making me sick now won’t make me sick in 6 weeks.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
