Down almost 6 pounds this week. Switching up my diet is starting to pay off. I haven’t had a loss like this since my first 2 weeks after surgery. Very pleased

Gosh congrats to all you big losers this week!!! You're all doing so dang great!

Here's mine:

HW 287.4 (May 2017)

SW: 222.4 (Feb. 20)

Last week: 188.6

Today: 185.4

So, down 3.2 since last week, 37 since surgery and 101.2 overall.

Another good week here. Had my 6 month oncology appt, my 6 month echo cardiogram, and have my 3 month with the surgeon tomorrow. PT is going well, and am consistently walking 1 hour per day. Feeling so much better all things considered!

There's something weird afoot with your ticker, and I don't mean your heart:

Oh I see it! I was hoping by putting in an estimated goal date it would tell you if you were on track. Rofl. I thought I removed the date. Will go see! Thanx!

Well I’m up a pound from last week I had a semi-off day with diet this past weekend and woke up to a 5-7 pound increase!!! The next day I was down a few from that and today I was 310. Pretty bummed and not really sure what happened but I am determined to be out of the 300s by the end of May!!

Had my three-month follow-up appointment yesterday, and I'm pleased to report that my surgeon is happy with my progress (even though I need to exercise more). I quote: "I wish more patients were like you" (because I haven't had any major issues and didn't have any concerns/questions).

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
