Isn't as bad as I feared because we get longer rest/walk periods. I found that made all the difference - by the end of the walk I was mostly ready to go again!

Ok, see, that was totally not me! I was soooo not ready to go again. I was ready to fall to the ground and take a nap! I think I'm going to have to take 2 days in between "runs".

And whos, I can already see your are gonna be on my a$$ for this entire program, huh?:) Now the question is when we finish it and are able to run 5k, what next?!? Half marathon? I'm already exhausted!!!!!

I finished week one on Saturday. I was planning to start week 2 today but woke up with some sort of stomach bug. This is the first time I have felt sick since banding. I am very nervous about throwing up...so far so good. I had some crystal light and some crackers and think the worst has passed. Looks like running will have to wait until tomorrow!:sick

hi losin -

I came home from a really bad day at work and did my second run of week 2 (I know I am a day ahead of everyone) and I felt so much better afterwards. During I was huffing and puffing and wondering if I was going to make it.

Losing, that's 471 calories for 30 minutes. That's awesome...now I think the machines are totally lying to me. It said that I had burned 220 calories for a half an hour, but I sweat crazier than I do on the elliptical when I burn over 400 calories. I wish they had a bodybugg compatible with a mac.....

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
