I didn't take a 'before' picture - but I had a few vacation pictures from right before my surgery that worked. What I truly regret is that I completely forgot to take measurements before surgery. I started taking measurements around 3 months out so I can see a difference from there but I can only speculate on the inches I lost in those first few months....and I know it was a lot based on my clothes. I have found the measurements to be what I rely on even more than the pictures because my brain still has trouble comprehending differences even when I look at pictures side by side. But, the numbers don't lie. Plus I can take a tape measure and hold it out to the bigger number and it's a good visual for me to see just how much space I used to occupy.

Good on you @Wanda A for deciding to do the pics! I actually took 2 sets of pics: one set with t-shirt and shorts on, one set with bra and undies on. That way, I can share the clothed 'before' set with whoever I want, but I'll still have the undies 'before' set so I can truly see how much my body has changed. Not sure I'd every be comfortable sharing those with everyone LOL!

The 2wk pre-op liquid is not fun, but try different recipes for smoothies so you don't get bored. It made those 2wks much easier for me :)

Thank you Karen, I just did a tank top and shorts. I would hate for anything more revealing to be accidently seen by anyone !! :P

Today is day 1 of the Boost, doing ok, have a bit of a headache, but I am using peppermint essential oil, and that seems to be helping. I had a 'last supper' last night at my parents. My sister and mom made me a sort of advent surprise, with the most beautiful card. 42 small gifts to open, one for each day for the next 6 weeks !! That should help pass the days!! I opened the 1st one today along with my first Protein Shake, a bath bomb and a new sponge puff!! I see a relaxing bath in my future tonight !! :)

I have been very selective with who I told about my surgery, only people that I know will be loving and supportive. So far, everyone has been wonderful, hopefully that continues.

After reading this thread i decided to take my 'before' pictures. I did it this morning even though i have over a month to go before surgery. (I was wearing a pretty bra and underwear set, so I figured it was a good day to do it).

I read on these threads that someone said that we often don't see our own obesity. Well, I am one of those! I was shocked by what I saw, especially on my back side picture. WOW.

I will do another set of before pictures with more clothing soon (maybe leggings and a tank) so that I can share one day with others.

How often did you all do progress pics?

And I will be saving one pair of jeans to compare later when I need motivated.

I'm thinking I'll do a progress pic on each month anniversary. Any more than that and I don't know if I'll be able to really see the difference, which may be a tad discouraging (even though it shouldn't be haha).

Glad you took your before pics too, and with pretty undies!! That is one of my goals, matching cute undies !! I will also update my pics and measurements monthly. Today is day 5 of the pre op, I was down 11 lbs this am !! 11, I had to look twice! I don't think this rate will continue, but it's a great start. It's hard, for sure, but we will persevere. Have a great day, everyone !

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
