Just for fun...what was/will be your "last" meal?

Recommended Posts

My last meal was tonight. Shrimp Scampi, big salad & a little Pasta. Then caved & went & said my final farewell to ice cream.

Tomorrow I start my 2 week pre op full liquid diet.

This is going to be worth it!😊

I don't think I will have one. I have shifted to much healthier eating already. I am not craving a last meal. At least not yet. We will see how I feel come December when it is surgery time. I have already shifted my focus to Protein.

Good on you ! Reading this post. 4 months post op . It makes me laugh. I had the same thoughts of hmm what will my last meal be .. 4 months post I eat everything I want. I don't want most the crap I used to eat. But now I realise there is no point of a last meal. Stay on your road to health . Everything you used to eat will be still there after.. and you will most likely not want it. I wish I thought the same at your stage. Absolutely admirable.

Well I went to a seminar that is required before you can schedule with the surgeon group.....they let us know that we can't gain any weight if we want to be approved for surgery.......I'll just have to eat the steak without the potato LOL

Good idea. And it will be just as nice. I had mashed potatoes with cheese in it today for the first time it was so nice.. my plan doesn't call for low carb though so I'm lucky but I often eat steak on it's own. As when I have it with something else I can't eat much steak lol ( 4 months post ) so good your getting into the frame of mind if post surgery.:)

@dreamingsmall I am going to try and eat clean for a bit, I always feel better I just don't lose a lot of weight very fast. But maintaining or losing a small amount and sticking to whole foods I feel like it will at least help me prepare for changing my diet completely after surgery. Probably won't be for 6-7 months but that's a long time to not gain if my eating habits don't change.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
