I am 9 months post op, and down 72.5 lbs. My weight loss has slowed down quite a bit to the point where I am only losing about 5 lbs per months now. I still have 30 lbs to go to get to my goal weight, but slow and steady has proven to be good for me. I am finding that I don’t really have any loose skin. I think that is for several reasons. First, I have been losing at a slow and steady pace. Also, I work out every morning before work. This includes cardio and weight training. Finally, I started making my own body butters right after my surgery to specifically target loose skin and stretch marks. I slather it on every day. The pictures I am attaching show me prior to my surgery, at 3 months post op, and then this morning at 9 months post op. I still have a ways to go, but I can definitely see a difference at each phase. It helps to compare these pictures because I have been feeling a bit discouraged lately with the scale moving so slow.

You look great! Im 9 months out as well, 12/19/16 down 74 and working out 5-6 days a week as well. I don't get on the scale a bunch so not really sure how fast or consistently I loose. Using my fitness pal, I can see that I've lost 18 in the last 3 months and I'm ok with that. How much can you eat? My doctors to me I should be able to eat a cup of food but I feel like it's way less before I start feeling full. It gets a bit frustrating at times especially with trying to get Water in, get all the food in, AND having to wait 30 minutes between eating and drinking.

You look amazing! Great work! I am 3 months out and my doctor told me at a week and a half out to workout daily for one hour...I have been working out about 6 days a week. I am also losing slow but I am ok with it! Can I ask what your starting weight was?

Depending on what type of food I am eating, I can eat more than a cup at times. If I am focusing on my Protein first, then i can really only eat about a cup. If I eat bread, rice or Pasta, or any foods that I really shouldn’t be eating, then it seems like I can eat more. That is why i just try to avoid that stuff all together.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
