Me Me Me MEEEEEE!!! I am so excited two more full days!!! Got to be at the hospital at 7 am!!!

me too!!! I wish mine was at 7am - you're lucky! I have to be in for 9:30 for surgery at 11:30...could be worse - someone I worked with had to wait until 4pm -- yikes!

are you doing a cleanse tomorrow or anything? I'm just doing light meals tomorrow - mostly Protein shakes...and then nothing after midnight..have to get through a stressful day of meetings first tomorrow though...

He found a hernia and because of past surgeries my stomach is swollen and not allowing very much liquids to go down. Lot of reflux.

oh that doesn't sound like fun but hopefully the swelling will go down soon! :(

Hey my surgery is at 11! We really are sleeve buddies, lol. I hope we don't get postponed. 4pm is a long time to wait! I go to Clear Liquids only all day tomorrow (been on Protein Shakes and other low carb low fat liquids and soft foods since Thanksgiving), then only Water from midnight tomorrow until 7am Thursday.

oh wow - yes we are!! :D I give you all the credit in the world to be on liquids this long pre-surgery. My surgeon seems a bit on the easy side - hopefully I'm still thinking he was easier on the other side lol! I hope we don't get postponed either!!

I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow but I'm jammed with meetings all day...so I guess it's good I'm not doing some sort of elimination thing lol...are you working tomorrow?

No, I'm off tomorrow. I work overnights so I took a couple days off beforehand to reset to a day schedule. I figure I'll have to be awake during the day for the next couple of weeks so I might as well get a head start!

Well my surgery is at 8:30 at least you get to sleep in if you do sleep at all being excited and nervous. Yeah I don't think I could wait till afternoon. I am glad it is in the am.

I have been on the liquid diet for the past two weeks, Protein Shake in the morning and evening, and sf Jello or pudding in between and nothing else but Water or the Powerade zero. I can't have anything 4 hrs before surgery and clear liquids before that for 12 hrs.

I just started my 2 week liquid diet today.....so my surgery is the 20th. I am freaking out about making it for 2 weeks on nothing but Protein Drinks Jello and yogurt. I am just trying to keep my mind off of it and ignore the clock. I wish i had a doctor with an easier pre op. I am not in this position because i have stellar self control! I am expecting a few really horrible days and then hopefully it will get easier!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
