I'm on my 3 month multi supervisory plan which started the end of June. I've been cleared by the psych and today by the cardiologist. I'm now waiting to have my first appointment with the pulmonologist on 9/26/17! That is past my 3 months. I know this is a waiting game to get clearances but thought everything would be done within the 3 months. I called the office and asked to be put on the cancellation list. Hopefully I get called before my appointment. I just needed to vent. So far things have been flowing smoothly and I've been getting things done. I go to two weight-loss meetings a month and am signed up to go to this special surgeon's class. I will focus on keeping up the weight I have loss and try to drop more. Good luck everyone

I can imagine how you feel! You waited this long, you can do it! I'm telling myself the same thing. I have to get new insurance in November and can start my 3 month supervision even though the insurance won't kick in until January. So frustrating to wait, I've gained 35 lbs since my lap band removal! But I keep working out and logging what I eat and waiting patiently.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
