Don't let yourself get discouraged! 30 pounds is a big chunk of weight loss. Just remember - slow and steady wins the race. Log everything you put in your mouth (my fitness pal is great) and get in plenty of exercise.

I had my surgery March 8. Best day of my life. Thirty pounds is great. Just think, you could have gained 30. Just keep working. Like K said be sure to log everything you eat. It will come off. Best of luck.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum as I'm realizing I need support of others. I had my surgery on 3/15/17 and am headed towards my 3 month post op visit. I know I'm making great progress but I'm so BORED with the limited foods. I started at 298lbs, was 275lbs at my pre op appointment and this morning weighed in at 213lbs. 85lbs since the biggining is amazing being that it's only need a short time!

It's hard for me to remember that everyone is different and on a different track, I constantly find myself comparing to others....anyone else have this problem now??

I had my surgery on 3/13, only down 30, started at 232 and now 202...how is everyone else doing? I am feeling discouraged

I have surgery 3/9/17
We are all moving along a diff ENT paces. You've lost and will continue. You will get to your goal. Track everything and make sure you're getting the Water. I was not drinking the 64oz. And was starting to stall. Once I concentrated on the water I started losing again. Good luck

I had my surgery on 4/10. I am only down 29 lbs. since surgery. I'm drinking all my Water and I'm tracking all my food on My Fitness Pal. I'm being incredibly compliant plus I'm exercising like crazy. I tried out Orangetheory the other day -- too competitive and intense for me. I'm leaving in a few to try a Barre class. Yesterday, I did 30-minutes of intervals (walk/jog), on my home treadmill and then I went for a swim. You get the picture. Not a day goes by that I don't do some kind of exercise. Earlier today I was outside, digging in the dirt (I'm a big gardener).

So what gives with the slow like turtle weight loss? I'm beyond frustrated. Could it be that I'm not eating enough? I'm eating roughly 700 calories daily and I'm hitting my Protein mark. I'll admit that I'm having issues with Constipation. I try and only eat fruit for Breakfast (plain yogurt with fresh blueberries and strawberries), because of the sugar content in fruit. Should I be eating more fruit? The experienced dietician at my program left 3-weeks ago and the new dietician is as green as they come -- she has zero bariatric experience. So, I'm on my own here and I hope I'm doing the right things.

Help!

I too am struggling with this. RNY 3/6/17. I've only lost 49 pounds since surgery. I'm very active at work, and at home walking around 4+ miles a day. I have never been sick once! never dumped, no pain, no food intolerances. I even questioned the surgeon if he actually really did the surgery. it really bothers me that I see some that loose a 100lbs the first 6 months, and I'm just sitting over here like, "WTH?!"

I could swear that it was me writing your post -- except I had my surgery on 4/10 and I'm a band to bypass revision. Nevertheless, like you, I too wonder if I had the surgery. I've not experienced dumping (admittedly I haven't eaten any sweets or pushed any envelopes), I feel good, I seem to be able to eat anything, etc. And I've only lost 30 lbs. to date -- so you're doing better than I am. If I lost almost 70 lbs. like you, I'd be jumping for joy. I don't mean to make you feel badly about your complaining about your weight loss. It's just that my weight loss is so slow and I don't understand what's up with that. Someone? Anyone?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
