I don't think I'm gonna make it.

First post!

pre op diet day 6.

I have been making Bone Broth and using that as my broth for the day. Very clear with no wierd additives. And something to do beside sit around thinking I'm starving.

Discovering how terrible all the crystal light Water additives are because they are so sweet. But, found the country time lemonade sugar free is pretty good with a squirt of real lemon. But! Find of the day. I'm not into sweet, I love tart and tangy. I poured half a package of cherry coolaid in my glass with no sugar. It was awesome!

Dropped 15 lbs in 6 days, not sure where it came from.

Missing something fresh and summer fruit

Hang n there

The preop was a breeze for me. I was so ready to do this I didnt even want food. Im post op 8 days, and I have no energy I can't stand the tecture of most everything, and I hate sugar free drink mixes. They taste too sweet. I'm really struggling too so I understand. This will be worth it in the end, but the next few weeks are gonna be rough. I will be praying for you. You've got this.

I never use the whole packet of mix. Or I add extra water!
I found a God send several months ago, and plan on drinking it forever! It's the Wal-Mart Great Value brand drink mix Coconut with pineapple. YUM!!! The only thing I ever drink other than plain water!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
