I am a month post op and I cannot find food that I want to eat so I don't eat. I am tired of tuna chicken salmon so I just either have a Protein chips, cookie, shake, or just liquids (like Water, Powerade zero) chicken/vegetable broth, applesauce, sugar free Jello, I even tried a pack of crackers, and tried a lunchable, & some watermelon NOTHING!!! Is satisfying me I mean I just don't want to eat wrong should I say.. so I guess my question is how did you guys eat a month post op(gastric bypass) I have lost 20 pounds this month and just trying to continue but as stated before don't want to take in nothing bad.

I am one week post sleeve, but 5 years post major, dietary life changes. Your post worries me. You need to read and read and keep trying to,stick to what the surgery requirements are. Of course food you "want" isn't going to be all the fun and satisfaction it was before. We wouldn't have cut our bodies up if we had the mental abilities and discipline for this up front

Agreed & I haven't as I stated I don't eat because 1)I am not hungry or 2)just tired of the food I am having. However, people keep telling me that I have to learn my body and try new food? So my question is what food? Being that all the food seems to be bad to even take it so I play it safe with what I stated before. My Mental is GREAT! I am determined not to be the old me by any means just was curious about "HEALTHY" new food selections other then what I have been trying.

You are so welcome. There are a couple VSG groups on myfitnesspal that are really great. I friended quite a few people from the groups and I have really enjoyed following them and looking at their food logs. Also, I got a fitbit and friended some of the VSGers so we can do challenges together.

Hi!

I am almost 2 weeks post op (sleeve) and i'm wondering when you first had sashimi? I am craving salmon badly!
How often do you eat? 5-6 small meals a day?

Thanks!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
