ok so what I understand it takes 6-8 weeks if not longer after the application to get it. my question for you is why did you wait to do your passport.

Call the local office that accepts applications and ask them about expediting your application. It can be done in weeks, if need be. Ask them what you need. If you need a new birth certificate, that can be usually be done in one day. Start today...it can be done!

I got my passport for my surgery next week in Feb. it only took 3 weeks routine processing so you definitely want to get in this week and do it as expedited. Also not sure of your weight and what airline you are flying but I looked at seatguru.com when I picked my seats and the airline for my flights next week. Look into first class too if you can afford it since the seats are bigger. I will definitely spill over some but I am hoping to have an understanding person next to me and I will do everything I can to make them comfortable even if that means I'm uncomfortable

You have 3 weeks so this is not impossible but you need to get on it ASAP.

You can expedite the request directly at a Passport Agency or Center, or at an Acceptance Facility. Again, review the exact details on the U.S. Passport website. You will also need to call to schedule an appointment at 1-877-487-2778 or 1-888-874-7793. Do this sooner rather than later.

Good luck!

So my surgery is June 2.... I am having a hard time trying to get a passport... what do I do? Also wondering about the plane seats... will I fit?

Why are you having a hard time? Do you not have the required documents? You fall within the expedite window, so you should be able to go to a local acceptance agent and pay the $60 expedite fee.

As far as being afraid of fitting, you'll need to call the airline and discuss your concerns with them.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
