I'm still having a hard time eating. Is there anyone having the same problem?

The only issue I have with eating is when I forget and eat too fast. I end up with this tightness in my chest and I have to walk around for a few minutes. I have been trying very hard to avoid this.

what exactly has been your problems? Have you talked with your doctor about it?

I do too! Often I dream of coming in to money in some miraculous way and having us all get together, my treat of course! Lol.

It could happen!!! Ya never know....

I do that too, but then I remember that i rarely play the lottery lol.

It could happen though and for sure we would have a blast!

You have to stop posting this food porn lol ( joking). @Newme17 I need to take cooking lessons from you because your dishes always look 😊 so yummy.

Haha!! Thank you for your compliments! I still think I need some good lessons, but my mom was always gracious enough to teach us how to cook growing up. It was our duty to be along side her while she managed. reminds me that I must start and be diligent with my kids to be with me during dinner making. Maybe they'll eat more of it too. Especially my oldest, she's the hardest to even want to teach. Lol

No I haven't talked to my doctor yet. I cant eat all of the 3-4 oz of food without being in pain. I still can't drink the Protein Shakes, i know that I should be drinking them but can't.

Please definitely talk with your doc about it. It could be that you're not ready to do 3-4 ounces of food and that's ok. I don't. If you force it, it'll hurt. So I'd say go lower, eat 2 ounces only and see how that feels. If it's still giving you issues this far out, then absolutely get in touch with your doc. My biggest concern is not getting your Protein in. I'm not a big advocate of high protein, but I do know the importance of getting the minimal in, at least. Please call your team hon.

I'm finding since I added pool time as an exercise routine I am hungry A LOT!

I can eat about a 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup now. And I am constantly worried it is too much as I eat anyhow.

I will definitely call tomorrow morning. I was also thinking about lowing my ounces to 2 until I get in touch with my doctor. Thank you for your advice.

You're welcome hon. Glad I can help. Let us know how it goes, if you'd like. Maybe it'll help someone else too. :)

That'll happen. The more energy you expend, the more fuel your body needs. Just be sure that you aren't overeating; having classic symptoms of food stuck in the chest, your sleeve hurts, etc. As long as you aren't, you'll be fine. Pool time is awesome! I wish I had one close to me with Water aerobics or something.

So something new that isn't all that great...my symptoms of eating one too many bites makes my sleeve actually hurt some. I've never had that happen before and also, my warning burp is gone! I think I'm now forced to weigh my food consistently.

My body is so physically tired right now I didn't want to even take a shower or even type this up with my thumbs. I'm good on Vitamins, not sure what's up. I'll drink more liquids. I'm hoping my brother doesn't call me asking to pick him up from the airport (I normally do). I don't think I can drive 30 mins to and from at the moment.

Hope you all have been good! 😊

Definitely start weighing your food if it will help solve that issue with one bite too many. I think this is a constant learning situation for a while. I had an experience on Monday where I almost vomited for the first time because I ate too much salad. I had weighed it out, but I guess when it comes to salad 3ozis too much. I was eating too fast or I probably would have noticed I was getting full.

Are you tired because you worked out or had a rough day at work? Maybe up your Protein a little bit and see if that helps?

I sure hope you feel better tomorrow.

Weigh vs measure... I was under the impression that we should just measure out 2 ounces of food by volume in the little medicine cups not weight- is that accurate? I thought it was the size that mattered . ??

I have always used my scale. It is a more accurate form of measurement if you really want to know how much you are eating.

I might weigh out 3 or 4 oz of food, but it doesn't mean I will eat all of it. Then I can simply re-weigh what is left and I know how much I ate. If I just used volume I wouldn't really be able to figure that out easily.

Not everyone likes or needs to be as precise as I am. I think as long as the system you are using is working for you, stick with it.

and welcome @Missy161. It is great to have you posting on our thread.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
