I made it home. I think the plane travel tired me out more than my 2.5 mile walk yesterday. My Fluid intake is a little down today so I am trying to make up a little tonight. Tomorrow I get to start on Protein Shakes and yogurt. I can't believe how happy I am about that. I have noticed that I can Handel larger sips now as long the liquid is not cold. I am drinking my Water at room temp. I also prefer flavored water now and I never used to.

Have any of you been adding unflavored powdered Protein to your coffee or yogurt or broths? I bought some and I would like to try and boost some stuff to get my Protein up. I am not sure if I just take. Scoop and mix it up?

Aw, home sweet home. Glad you made it intact! I too can handle larger sips as well. I made it through a bottle of Water pretty easily yesterday. Today I slacked a bit, but like you am aiming to make it up tonight.

I haven't added powder protein, although I have tons of it between my husband and myself, but I do make Decaf coffee and add my Premier Protein to it when I want an iced coffee. Tastes great. But my guess with Protein Powder, you may want to mix it up a tad with cool water before pouring it in with coffee and broths as whey protein tends to curdle with high temperatures.

Let us know how it turns out! Today, I've been drinking bariatric pal Soups and broths. So delicious actually.

I'm going to try overnight oatmeal made with chocolate Premier Protein and vanilla. It'll be my first soft food. I'm thinking to blend the oatmeal to a powder first. I am intimidated with large pieces at the moment. Lol

Hey guys.. thought I would update on what I've been eating as Iam so full of energy, I don't get hungry and have been out and about. So I changed what I previously said about my intake. Let me start by saying I'm on clear liquid diet for 2 weeks.. on tuesday I will start my last week. I now have only Water, chicken broth, beef broth, vegetable broth.. a little Jello here and there to change it up and now the most important a drink called cocotein for my Protein intake. Cocotein is a clear liquid , whey Protein and your body absorbs 100% of the protein and I use this to make up for the low calorie intake I'm on now. I stopped doing apple juice, cranberry juice and grape juice because I noticed it would give me a little heartburn slightly and sometimes and also the runs sorry tmi but it's for information purposes. With the cocotein i feel soo good and not deprived. I dont take any pain meds, i havent vomited thank god, I've passed gas tmi, but overall great. And i also try not to drink anything cold cold straight from the fridge, i let my drink chill a little first because if I dont I might feel it going down my esophagus slowly and that's uncomfortable, but I know that will change later on.

Thanks for the update @mishyk. I wonder if cocotein is sold in the US. I have been drinking coconut Water as I love the taste. I also stopped drinking fruit juice on day 3 post op because I don't like all the sugar.

I am having the same problem with cold liquids. It is the weirdest sensation so I am sticking with room temp or hot liquids for now. I think my energy levels have been pretty good considering how few calories I have been consuming.

Keep us updated please.

So, I took the m.o.m. Every time I stand up I have to go. Just wish it were all at once.

Got my abdominal binder in, oh man, feels a world of difference with it on. Now I know I'll just stick to Tylenol.

I have been getting hungry. It's not a substantial amount of hunger, but when I drink some bone broth or Protein Drink, the spasms go down. It isn't head hunger...cause everything, I mean everything, even things I wouldn't eat, like seaweed and beef stew, sounds good. Lol. So I heated up some chicken and ginger Bone Broth.

I'm looking forward to week two!!!!

I just sent the hubby out to get me an abdominal binder --- such a difference!

The iced coffee sounds great, but cold isn't working well with my sleeve right yet. I will just have to experiment some with the powders. I just hate to mess it up and waste food.

Have any of you named your sleeve? Also have any of you stepped on the scale yet? I am planning to tomorrow morning because I want to get my 1 week post op weight.

I tried it with the broth in pre-op but it is an acquired taste.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
