Anyone get new ink?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone gotten some new ink to Celebrate and/or commemorate their WLS? Thinking of getting something but not sure what yet. Was thinking maybe a kangaroo (since I am a pouch). Please let me know if you did and if possible post a photo of it.

Thanks.

I'll post a photo a year out from now. Lol. I do plan on getting more. 😊

It's something I'd like to do, once I hit goal, and after I've had plastics. But I'm not sure what I want to get yet, as my decision will probably be based on what my skin (and scars) look like at that time.

I have two I would like to get covered, once I have lost the weight.
I would say it would be best to wait until you have reached goal weight before you get any work done.

I plan on getting an new one soon, but it'll be on my lower leg where I don't expect much change. Luckily my existing pieces are in areas where the loss of weight shouldn't affect them too much. There are things I'd like to do but am waiting to lose more weight and see if I'm going to have to consider getting plastic surgery or not.

Maybe this with the date of 20 Oct 2016 (the date of my surgery).

Not sure about the joey in the pouch, but otherwise it's cool!

That is better. My hubby recommended trying a boxing kangaroo.

I have multiple tatts and I'm getting one before surgery. My daughters are coming to see me in June, and we are getting inked together. They both already have numerous and they are all tasteful.
We are getting bear paw prints done. They are each getting a cub paw print the color of their birthstones. Mine will be a large paw print in my birthstone color and below that will be my Cubs!IMG_0479.JPG
This drawing is what I'm getting, but the flower will be a sunflower.
Under everything I am getting some sort of an affirmation or quote about daughters too.

Sorry, had to jump off and didn't quite finish. We were thinking a boxing kangaroo to represent the struggle, and then I thought what if he had a medal to show he won? Here is something similar, but instead of the shirt, he should have a medal around his neck with your pounds lost # inside.

Another thought... There are other kinds of animals that have a pouch. Any marsupial: Wallabies, possums, koalas, wombats, gliders, tasmanian devils

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
