I'm 6 days post op and today I'm feeling the worst. I'm hurting so bad and so nauseous. Is this normal?

I'm in the same boat. Surgery on the 28th. Thankfully today some of the trapped gas "got out" and I feel like a brand new person. It will happen for you too.

I was sleeved on 3/29 and yesterday and today have been my worst days so far. I can't walk for more than a minute or too without being sick. Hoping his goes away soon!

I had surgery on 3/28 also. I had a rough night last night, and tonight I am starting to turn a corner and feel better. I hope it happens for you right away!

I also had my op on the 28th, I'm no longer nauseous but I have some pain in my stomach when I lay down, maybe I'm laying too flat but I get 2 hours of sleep at any time and I'm back up... I hope what you're going through passes quickly...

I had my surgery on the 28th too. I had a lot of pain the first day or two but have not had much until last night I had some under my breast. My surgeon said they inject something on two nerves around the stomach after they finish surgery. What ever they used I have not had any pain with my stomach! I can sleep on my stomach etc.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
