61lbs down 3 months post op!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, 3/30/17 will be my three month post op appointment and I am down 61 pounds. I can't tell you how surreal it all feels. I've went from a 3x to an xl in shirts and from a 22 to damn near a 16 in pants. Fabric makes the difference. But omg. I am so blessed I feel like I'm getting a second chance to finally feel good about myself. My confidence has gone way up. My energy levels have went up. I'm just so happy to see what's in store for the rest of my journey. So far I've been healthy recovering well with no hiccups and I hope and pray this continues. Eating good and staying away from sugary foods. And I still enjoy ice cream and sweets just low sugar sweets. Which is a plus for me and my sweet tooth. But overall this journey has been a lifesaver. Tomorrow I'll be cleared for weightlifting and I'm so happy to start toning up my body. Thanks to god for blessing me with my surgeon and family for all the support and love in the world. Hope everyone else's journey is going good. From 299 to 238

Congratulations! This is so exciting.

Your journey looks very similar to mine, except I'm tomorrow 2 months post op. I'm coming from 302 on sleeve day, and I'm now 254. I hope and pray that I'll be 238 in a month. Weight loss did slow down. I never stalled though.

Your stories are amazing I just finished all my prerequisites and my paperwork goes to the insurance company hopefully very soon I would love to just lose 25 lbs to fit into some of my old clothes, but I'll be happier if I lose the whole 80-85 lbs. I am very scared and excited at the same time but it's a good scared.

I don't know if I stalled because I don't weigh myself weekly. I let my clothes and how they fit encourage me to step on the scale. And its working.

Trust me I know exactly where you're coming from. My first 25lbs came off in the blink of an eye literally. They were gone before I could even notice. It'll go well for you. Welcome to the losers bench!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
