Hello all, i know that this is a long post, but I would really appreciate your responses. I am in a real shitty situation! I had the Gastric Sleeve Surgery back in July of 2016, which makes it 8 months post op. At first everything was going well, the first month I lost 18 lbs, the second month I lost 6, then the third 5, then the fourth stayed the same, then it was Thanksgiving and Christmas (Holiday Season) and thats when it all went down hill. I stayed the same weight until after christmas. At this point up to christmas I lost about 30lbs in 5 months, and now I gained some weight and my total weight loss is 22 lbs, so I gained 8lbs from december until now (March 29th). I really want to start losing the weight again, but im afraid that it won't come off as fast as it would have closer to surgery. In 4 months it will already be a year!

Take advantage of those 4 months. The first year is the easiest to lose. Take a hard look at what you're eating. Cut out simple carbs and focus on eating your Protein first, then non starchy veggies.

You can't just look at what went wrong. No one here is perfect. If you need to, restart. Do liquids for a short time and work back up. Kick up the movement and you should bed back on target.

We are all struggling at some point. Use us for support. That's what this group is for.

Guy, what is your diet like now? Are you tracking your food intake with an app like myfitnesspal? Curious to hear your nutrient macros. Also, are you walking, working out or performing exercise to keep you moving?

Hello Sleevinpops, in the beginning I was working out at the gym doing Cardio, tracking my food on MyFitnessPal and meal prepping. Now I am just in my old ways. Eating unhealthy food & not tracking anything or exercising. My job does require me to walk somewhat during the day so I do get a few thousand steps in

Hi There!

What I think you need to do is start logging in your food, your exercise, your Water. I think that you probably need to revise your diet, remove lots of carbs and put back in lean Proteins. Try to get all your steps in and keep the water up.

For me I have bacon and cheese for Breakfast, I have homemade low carb chili, butter chicken or teriyaki chicken then for lunch and dinner (and the mid meals).

I get at least 64oz of water in and try to walk at least 8K steps. You need to restrict calories, remove carbs, increase water and walking. Good luck, I know this isn't easy and I hope this helps!!!

I have heard about others doing a "pouch reset". Google or search it as a restart. But honestly unless you deal with what's happening mentally and your food choices it's going to be difficult. My best advice is to go to your nutritionist or surgeons office to get referrals for support group and or bariatric specialist therapist. Don't give up. You can't give up. You've made this life changing choice. There are going to be setbacks. But you have to have a mind reset as well. To get back on the right track. I truly wish you all the luck and strength encourage you need to follow the regimen. You had the courage to actually take the steps to do the surgery. So clearly you have bravery encourage in you. Somewhere it got pushed into the background. Time to have somebody help you bring it back to the forefront and take back control.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is having this struggle. I'm going to start a pouch restart next week. I have been so stressed out about it myself and have even felt like a failure but this week I have started to feel better and trying to get myself back on track

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
