Arm compression garment recommendations?

Recommended Posts

So, I am booked in for round two of plastics in may which will be an arm lift. Excited and nervous!

I'd be grateful for any helpful tips from people who have had this surgery for things that helped your recovery as well as compression garment recommendations? I am in the UK but visiting the USA next week so that may be my chance to get something?

If there are any aids or equipment you'd recommend too that'd be fab.

Thank you all in advance

All my garments came from Design Veronique - Worth their weight in gold!

They are not the cheapest - But they made me feel like I was protected form the world - Most of them (To protect my scars through first phase of healing and under I had Micropore tape) I wore for 12 weeks - Using this tip I got - My scars when having the tape and the compression on for 12 weeks - Left my scars much finer and flatter then my own arms - That I removed the compression etc after 6 weeks (Which now I know the tips _ I wish I knew all that before - lol)

And you can also get them in the UK ( I think if you see the one you want on the US site the UK people will send you it from the product number - I just phoned them up and orderd the one I needed and it arrived a couple of days later)

Good luck!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
