Marchies in October!

I personally take it easy for the following meal, if that's good, then I'm back to regular.

I find that if I PB too often I get stuck in the soft foods mentality. So I'm trying to be careful of that too.

Hope you feel better soon.

Jeni,

Thanks BTW. I see that 85...Golly, was that the year you were born??

I graduated high school in 86. I feel so old.

I think it's fantastic that you are getting your weight under control at 22 not later. You'll be happy you did. I wish there was this tool around when I was your age!

I sound like I've got a foot in the grave...ugh. :)

So you guys Enlightened me, I did not know that after a severe

bout of Pbing it is advised to go on liquids for awhile. This I feel is a

very important piece of information.

I am so happy that Halloween is over, Miss piggy over here with the chocolate. I feel so sick to my stomach,my face is red, I am dizzy

I hate feeling this way. The girls at work were saying that they would give up sex for chocolate. I said "I think having sex with a big hunk of chocolate in my mouth, would be the ticket. Seriously, why is it so good, and why do women crave it so bad. And I am not talking about sex.:D

So now I am going to get back on track until turkey Day.

Happy November 1st everyone! Taking it one day at a time.

That's about the funniest thing I've read in a while.

Thanks for the laugh.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
