I had my surgery on February 14th 2017 and in six weeks I'm down 78 pounds. I too had a 10 day stall in weight loss but it has started back. I'm eating between 700-1000 calories a day. I'm walking 10000-15000 steps most days. I started last week going to the gym working with a trainer once a week to help with muscle toning and building plus trying to keep from having a huge skin removal surgery. I know I'm going to have to get some kind of skin removal surgery but I hope to reduce the amount of skin removed. If I can!

I was sleeved Feb. 6th. At my 2-month post-op appnt, my surgeon said no more Protein Shakes. Yay! No more drinking calories. I'm totally happy w/the sleeve. At 5'2" and 50 yrs, I am down about 35 lbs. Walking is tough with my knee problems, but I do what I can. Just bought a Simply Fit Board today, which is fun and easy on the joints. I love being able to eat some real foods (fish, veggies, salad, etc.). I am working on eating less Soups. I still need to focus on stopping when I am full. That takes awareness and staying in tune with the body. This is a process. The sleeve is a great tool. So far so good!

When I started the whole process of prepping for my weight loss surgery. I was at my heaviest. I had my 3-month post-op follow-up today and I am just really happy.

My heaviest weight from the start was 464 lbs.

My weight at surgery was 418 lbs.

my weight today was 378 lbs.

I don't try to hold on to a goal weight specific number. I would just like to get down as much as I can and have a more healthy and mobile life as a whole on a daily basis. I've had some great non-scale victories too, pants being too big, shirts beeing oversized, being able to drop a few band sizes in my bra. Already I can feel the difference in how I move, my energy, my confidence slowly rising. It's a great feeling and incredibly motivating.

My doctor said I am right on target and he's very happy with my progress.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
