3 days away and all I can think about

Recommended Posts

My day is almost here and all I can think about is the things I can't wait to do when I get rid of this weight.

I'm going on a cruise to the Bahamas in Nov. Have to fly from Cali to Florida. Excited to see how much room I will have on the seat of the plane.

Looking forward to shopping at forever 21 or smaller stores like that for a cheap price

Looking forward to being able to really run again which I haven't done since high school 12 years ago

Looking forward to playing more with my 6 year old

Being able to fit on a ride at an amusement park and not have to come up with an excuse on why I can't go

Can't wait to wear heels again like they are sneakers.

Just to name a few things. What is something you all are looking forward to doing

I can't wait to see how much room is left on a plane too. Needing the seatbelt extender was a wake up call for me.

I want to be able to walk up the stairs to my apt without being so out of breath.

Buy less expensive clothes

Not have to lift my skin up in the shower

Not having pain from some part of my body everyday

And becoming more healthy, confident, and social

Definitely agree with the airplane seats/seatbelts! My husband and I love to travel, but I always dread being cramped in that tiny seat and the embarrassment of asking for the seatbelt extender.

Some other things I am looking forward to:

  • Being able to bend over and tie my shoes and still being able to breathe.
  • Going on hikes with my dogs.
  • Finding knee high boots that don't have to have elastic in the shaft to be able to zip up all the way.
  • Being able to shop for clothes in just about any store.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
