I'm getting the sleeve on the same day as you! Good luck! I'm very excited! Are you doing the liquid diet? I'm having a terrible time with this. It's very hard when you're hungry to only drink!

Luckily I do not have to do the liquid diet. I am sure that it would be a struggle for sure!

I am getting sleeved by Dr. Corvala next Thursday, 3/22/18. I am excited but nervous all at the same time. I have spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews, so far I like what I have seen about him and his staff. I have a friend that had used him a couple years and my PCP's daughter went to him last summer..... Nothing but great things to say about him. I would love to hear more feedback from others that may have gone to him.

6 days and counting......

Fiancé and I are both scheduled for sleeve on 4/11 with Lopez Corvala! Wishing you the beat of luck tomorrow! Let us know how you make out please! Any tips or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks you, best of luck to you both. I should be picked up in the next 30 minutes to be shuttled from the hotel. I am surprisingly not nervous.... yet. I’ll keep you posted.

Good luck!! Please check back in and let us know how it went. I was sleeved by Dr. Corvala exactly 7 months before you. It has been an adjustment, but I am so happy i did it. Can't wait for you check in after surgery.

Surgery went well. I’ve been out for approximately 8 hours and I have been able to get out of bed and walk a little bit. I am starting to feel the abdominal pain along with the gas pressure from them blowing me up.

I had my Dr. at home provide me with anti nausea Patches that I’ve used during a different surgery that had help tremendously before. I am glad that I have them now, as I feel great for the most.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to have something more than ice chips.

Surgery went well and without complications. I did the swallow test this morning and there wasn’t any leakage.

Dr. Corvala and his staff were fantastic to work with. I was feeling pretty good right up until the time that our ride came to pick us up. We decided to stay an extra day to help eliminate any issues with going back over the boarder, the roads aren’t the best and needless to say after the 2 hour drive I was looking like I had been pumped up with air again.

Congratulations on a successful surgery. Now that you're home cocentrate on getting healthy, feeling better and continuing to,lose weight.Hope you no longer look like Bip the Michelin man's sister, I thought I had that position staked out for myself. Ah but sooner or later I'll get my surgery and I will look like I was raised on Lean Cuisine instead of French Fry Harry's Burger Barn. You know the place that would say"if you can choke them down, we'll give you the biggest bum in town!"
And I usually did, and mine[emoji70] nearly has its own Zip Code. [emoji29][emoji29][emoji29]

I am doing great, came back to work today.

I was released from the hospital on Saturday afternoon and traveled into CA that afternoon so that we could catch our flight home the next morning. I have been off pain meds as of Sunday morning. I feel pretty fortunate that I feel great for the most part. The only pain that I have right now is with one incision that is a little tender. I will wake up in the morning without being bloated or swollen and by the end of the day I look like I've been filled with the Co2 again, not quite sure why.

So far, I have note felt hungry and have been trying to get at least 65g of Protein and 64oz of fluids every day. I am doing better with that. As of this morning, I am down 9lbs from the day of my surgery.

Looking back at everything, the only struggles that I really had while I was at the hospital was the language barrier... mostly while being down in pre-op and being slightly emotional (I thought that I had prepared myself enough).... I had a little rocky of a time getting into my room as the hospital had a busy night the night before and had limited rooms open. I was uncomfortable with where I was put, but the reassured me that by the time I was out of the OR , I would be moved to a much nicer room. The new room was fantastic.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
