I don't even break 800 calories a day so how am I gaining and stalling????

Stalls just happen. Gains, however, are Water weight. I always gain 2-3 pounds before I start my period. Where are you in your cycle? It lasts a week for me and then I drop the additional pounds and more.

try not to worry too much....first, know that it takes time for your body to recover from the surgery and your body is still recovering at six weeks out. You may have hit a stall but I promise it will start to fall off soon. My journey was nuts in that I would stall for three weeks and then lost 10lbs in a week. Try to make sure you get your Water in, too! You won't continue to gain...just try not to compare yourself with others on the same journey. God bless!

I'm 7 weeks out and my weight will go up and down every day so I stopped wishing daily. I'm on a stall now. I know it will get better. You didn't gain weight all at once so you can't lose it all at once. Cut yourself some slack. Also taking measurements has been a great motivator for me when the scale is not!

My cycle actually just ended yesterday I hope that's what the cause is I didn't even think about that being the cause

Give it a couple of days and see if you drop. I can predict my period like clockwork now because I gain about two days before starting and lose about two days after.

I'm not the only one, either. Maybe you're just in our hormone club.

I was wondering the same. I'm about 12wks out and I may have pushed it with how Valentine's Day chocolates but I can barely eat and I'm about 4lbs heavier, this week. Any suggestions?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
