Yea, we are right at the 40 bmi. My doc told me not to lose and lb's before the liquid stage so the ins couldn't refuse to cover.

Hello everyone! I'm starting with around the same stats:

5'2.5"
HW: 225lbs
Current weight: 213lbs

I still have 5 more days of my pre-op diet (for a total of 14 days) before my sleeve on March 8th! The nerves and excitement haven't quite set in yet..still fills surreal but I'm so ready!

Hello everyone,

Where would you/ do you shop for petite non-plus sized clothes? I'm surfing the web looking for some deals! Currently at size 14W. I've often bought Women's Petite sized-clothing from Talbots because I have to dress up for work but I don't know that I'll buy much of their regular petite stuff because it's kind of boring. And I certainly don't want to spend the money if I'm going to be in a size for only a month or so.

Hope everyone who was close to surgery when you posted is doing well post-op!

I'm shorter, 5'0". At one time in my life I was 230 but couldn't lose anymore after I went down to 220. Check my signature for my details:

Height 5'0"
Weight for WLS consultation: 216 lbs.
Surgery date: 2/13/17
Goal: - 71 lbs for healthy BMI (about 145 lbs).
Current weight: 188 lbs
My profile picture is not me. It's my "FitSpiration" body.

No, I was 275,and 5,4. I'm now 9 days post up. I'm sleeping better, despite some gas discomfort, and incision pain, point of removal of the stomach. So don't give up.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
