Hello! I'm a fairly new convert & getting sleeved in Mexico in about 2 weeks. Just Looking to see if there's any faith-based support out there. Have a great day!

HI there, not sure about the support as I am new here myself. Just wanted to say my brother and his daughter both went to Mexico and had the sleeve done with no complications. Both are losing weight and doing well.

Not that I know of, I hadn't thought to ask. There might be a few of us on here. I'm LDS too!

How awesome for them! Are you getting surgery too?

Exciting! Which surgery are you going for? How are you feeling about the upcoming surgery?

I had rny March 31st of 2016. (10 months today.) I'm down about 130 from surgery and about 140 from highest. It has been a crazy journey but a good one.

Hi there, I'm LDS also[emoji4]. I was sleeved in September last year. 6 months out and I've lost 90 lbs! My birthday is March 23 and I'm hoping to be down 100lbs. But if I don't I'm ok with it. Best decision I ever made. I still have a long way to go, but on the right track. Good luck to everyone. I'm from northern Utah and I'm sick of winter!!! Today the sun is shining and it feels so great[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
