  3. Hi there, I'm LDS also[emoji4]. I was sleeved in September last year. 6 months out and I've lost 90 lbs! My birthday is March 23 and I'm hoping to be down 100lbs. But if I don't I'm ok with it. Best decision I ever made. I still have a long way to go, but on the right track. Good luck to everyone. I'm from northern Utah and I'm sick of winter!!! Today the sun is shining and it feels so great[emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]
  4. Hi there everyone [emoji4]. So happy to hear from the September sleevers. My surgery was 9/15/16. Surgery weight 389 lbs. I'm down to 306 lbs and can't wait to get below 300!!! I still have a long way to go, but I'm feeling so much better and getting around so much easier. I've noticed my hair is starting to thin out, I hope it doesn't get much worse [emoji4]. So thankful for this journey. I could never have done this on my own. My insurance would not pay anything on my surgery, so I depleted my 401 to pay for it. Best decision I ever made. Money is really tight these days, but I don't regret a single bit of it. My body was shutting down. I'm so thankful for this journey I'm on. We can do it!!! Blessings to all of you, I love being motivated by you[emoji8][emoji8]

  8. I am about 9 weeks post op from the sleeve. I too have experienced no appetite, nothing tastes the same, awful taste in my mouth much of the time. I can't really find anything that tastes good anymore. It is just easier to not eat, and that causes all sorts of problems. One being that it really slows down the weight loss. Also having a hard time getting my Water in. Hopefully it will get better. It's quite an adjustment going from loving to eat, to having absolutely no interest in food. 10. Awesome!!!! You look great, and must be feeling so much better! Congrats on your success! I'm 6 weeks post op from sleeve surgery. Started at 388lbs. Down 38lbs so far. I've got some major struggles with being nauseous all the time, but hope it will work itself out. Can't wait to be where you are now. Continued success to us both Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  13. I am 6 weeks post op with the sleeve. The last 3 weeks I've been constantly nauseous. If I eat, if I don't eat. It doesn't matter. NOTHING tastes good or sounds good, so consequent I'm not eating as much as I should be. I finally called my doctor last week, and she told me to concentrate on getting my 64oz of Water in. Which is tough, when it sits in your stomach like a lead balloon. After a week of working on my Fluid intake, I'm still constantly nauseous. So I'm going to call and see if they can prescribe me some anti-nauseous meds. I know how you feel. Hopefully it will get better. Good luck to you Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I'm 5 weeks post op from having the sleeve done. My tastebuds definitely have changed big time!!! And I start getting a gag reflex going if I smell certain things. It's crazy. Makes it hard to find anything that tastes good. I finally called my doctors office about it. I was getting to where I just wasn't eating. They told me the body is going thru ketosis, burning your fat reserves. There are toxins being burned and hormonal changes going on that can affect your tastebuds. I have to use mouthwash a couple times a day, plus brushing my teeth a couple times a day helps. It's just weird how nothing tastes good anymore. We just have to hang in there. 17. Hi there, just a quick question. I'm 5 weeks post op from having the sleeve done. Developed a lactose intolerance when I started on my dairy, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese. Doing better if I take a lactose medication before I eat. But the last two weeks I'm constantly nauseated. If I eat, if I don't eat, and I have absolutely NO appetite. My tastebuds have changed and everything tastes awful. Has anyone experienced any of this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Just got sleeved on Wednesday sept 14. Been home two nights. Spent one night in the hospital. I have had a HORRIBLE headache ever since I got home. Been making sure I'm drinking 4 oz of liquid every hour. I'm having a hard time telling what my stomach will hold. Hopefully everyday will get better. We did it!!!
