So recovery has been tough to say the least. Surgery was January 6th. Still struggling to get in 64oz of Water in a day ... 2 Protein Shakes ... and take my Vitamins. My stomach has been very sensitive, as I get nauseous very easily. My doctor progressed my diet to purees, and sometimes after a bite of food. I'm extremely nauseous. I'm wondering if this is normal, and how people went around it. I've tried the Isopure Zero carb drinks and absolutely hate them after surgery. Prior to surgery I enjoyed them. I find many things are either too sour or too sweet for me now.

Same thing with my vitamins, I was initially prior to surgery taking optisource and one night after surgery I went to take it and had to resist the sensation of vomiting. My doctor told me to only start my vitamins when the nausea ends. But I ordered some Bariatric fusion in a different flavor hoping that helps.

ANY suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I really need to up my water and Protein.

Hey, were surgery twins. I got sleeved same day. Try flavor in ur Water, maybe lemon. I use TRUE LEMON was on my nut list. Its crystallized lemons, no sugar. I've always hated Water. My nut also approved a splash of juice in my water, no more than 1oz. It works great n helps me get more water in

Im already on phase 3 but was able to have chicken n tuna on puree stage so that helps w Protein count. Try app called Protein tracker, blue icon with white dumbbell.

We're you prescribed an antacid and an anti nausea medicine when you were discharged?

I am having similar issues. Sleeved 1/17. I hate the Isopure but it's really all I can get down. Did you try the little propel packets in your Water? Or even crystal light? Also my nausea is better when I eat "real food". I had a very scrambled egg and some fat free yogurt (not together) and I felt better.

Try Syntrax Nectar. It's Water and Protein so it helps meet both goals.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
