HI All

I need to think about having a fill soon. Can someone give me the contact details and prices etc. for WLS and Fred. Also, not sure who to go with. Does anyone have a preference?

My weight is coming down gradually, and I do feel full at times (and managed to stop eating which I have never done before) should I still get a fill?

Cheers Debs

Hi Dizzy. I had my first fill with Wendy at WLS on Saturday. It was simple and painless. I'm now on liquids for 3 days, then mushies again for 3 days before returning to normal food. By the time Saturday came I had become more hungry and had started looking for food (but still brought back anything I'd not chewed properly!) I would highly recommend the WLS aftercare package - you can go almost as often as you want whether it's for advice, adjustment or just accurate weighing (with a nasty printout of how much actual fat you're carrying!) They offer 12, 24, or 36 month packages. All the details are on their website - Weight Loss Surgery Group - Home

Good luck in your weight loss

I can strongly recommend WLS Group too. I had my first fill with Frederik and thne went with WLS. They are fantastic and you really feel like an individual and well looked after. If they cover a place near you I'd defo go for it!

thanks homecare...im back on track but still not up to 100% fighting power but think im getting there?

have u heard anything from your sis and bro in law yet?as we know they are in professional hands and they will be fine:smile:

yeh if J does then it WILL be all of us i would think??

i would probably arrange anopther fill out there for same time if/when we organise it?

keep up the great work Homecare your in the ZONE i think??

plus if your stuck for de cluttering or cleaning i have plenty to do in my house and garden???

im not gonna weigh myself until tuesday, i started eating properly today as was starving couple o poached eggs and toast nothing too heavy then Soup and tuna mixed with some Tomato etc went down ok and felt content.

ok all the best H catch u later:thumbup:

Sister and partner home safe and sound she is a little sore around the port area and quite heavy bruising on her arms ie drips etc. You would think her partner had been for a holiday, no side effects whatsoever but I think he is trying to prove a point that we women are defo the weaker sex. He says he was fit enough to go to work this morning but sis wouldnt let him as she needed his help.

Im sure I defo have restriction now as I am only able to eat tiny amounts ie Breakfast 3/4 of a weetabix, lunch 1 scrambled egg, dinner nothing as yet as I am really not hungry.

I am in a bit of a dilemma as I have been invited to a dinner party on Satuarday and because of my small appetite I do not know what Im going to do. I really want to go but I dont want to offend very old friends and their will only be six of us so cant camoflage what I havent eaten thats if I can manage to eat any of it depending on what it is. Any Ideas anybody. Jx:blushing:

Hi Debs, I rang today to book mine for 6 weeks in Newport with Frederik and the cost is £90 cash with him. I wasnt sure whether to go to Fred or Wendy, I think Wendy is £85 but not sure if I ought to stay with the people who have done it incase there are any problems? Can anyone advise us on the difference between Fred and Wendy and what you would suggest, although I know it is personal choice? Thanks everyone x

Hi Oliverdog, it is a personal choice and I can only advise you on my experience. I chose wls because they have a clinic in Glasgow and many people had been singing Wendys praises. When I went to her clinic I spoke of my concerns ie something accidental happening to the band. She allayed my fears as she is insured for many millions of pounds and should anything happen through her fault ( which it never has) she would personally pay for the fault to be repaired or replaced at no cost to her patients. She used to work for uk based surgeons and has over 10years experience of doing fills more than some surgeons. She treats everyone individually and if you need any help there is a 24 hour emergency line and also some support network. She always gets my port first time and the fill is over and done with before you know it. I couldnt reccommend her enough. Last time I checked the package for 6 months was £350 but I know sometimes they have special offers and it comes in around £280. Jx:thumbup:

Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the advice and the warm welcome back!! I am begining to feel a lot better today, which is just as well as I am back at work tomorrow! LOL!! The operation went really well, Dr Chris and Fred are both great and very professional. I have been a bit unwell as I am not very good when I come around after being put out.... The journey home was ok but I certainly knew I had done it and slept but have been getting better by the hour. The injections are simple and do not hurt which is the part I was worried about and not too much pain but have been relaxing since got home. Not too sure what is a liquid and what is a mushy as had porridge this morning but then thought this was probably a mushy, anybody got any hints to help me decide!! Thanks everyone you are all so nice and have all been so great!! One thing is I keep coughing as I didnt realise I take such big sips - we live and learn!! XX

If i had my time again i would go to WLS for my fills, i would of travelled the extra hr an 1/2 each way, i think because you can get your fills every 2 wks, also the extra help and advice you get...dont get me wrong i go with frederik and he is good but i think its a better offer and cheaper to go with WLS.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
