Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Poor Alan - I am so glad to hear you went in and had the clot seen to - I've been very worried about you! Hopefully now you can get over the pain and on to the business of losing weight. I haven't done anything yet re: diet but find my appetite is down a lot since I've come back - even my dreaded sweet tooth. I'm finding I'm still quite tired - and a few people have told me I'm pale from time to time (likely just my extreme disappointment shining through)! My own doc has told me not to worry about what Dr Chris and Fredrick said re: life expectancy. She is sending me to a consultant here and, if it doesn't look too bad, she will see about getting me banded here... But I'm not holding my breath! Please take care of yourself and let me know how you are doing! Shelly - how are you? Kathy

Hi Kathy Ive been thinking about you a lot lately and hope you are healing well. I dont think I would worry too much about the diet until you get yourself better. I know you are really dissapointed at what happened but I always say whats for you will not go by you maybe it happened for a reason and youve got better things to come. Good luck and best wishes J xxx:rolleyes2:

If you wanna volunteer to come baby sit me n hold my hand you're more than welcome:thumbup: Don't panic that was just a jest, I'm not a psycho hose beast

Hi Rosetah2006

Welcome to the forum.

Here is everything i can think of to take with you;

*loose clothing

*slip-on shoes

*hand towl for hospital

*wash bag

*chewable Multivitamins

*Waterproof dressings for 5 wounds (4= 2cm long and 5th is 6cm long)

* Travel lightly as too much luggage will be a pain to carry around

* Pain relief ie Nurofen melts (not tablet form. you will get some from hospital but they are yuk!)

* Sponge ( I found this helpful for a strip wash in hospital)

*don't worry about nightclothes in hospital as you will be in your gown they give you

* Cup a Soups for hotel after op

* Bottled Water but you can by this in the hotel

* If you drink tea or coffee there is some in the hotel but not much so take your own(they do have a kettle)

If i think of anything else i will let you know!!!!

Heya Thanks for all the support am so glad i found this site as am absorbing all the information like a sponge

Hi and welcome shellangel, i think you have picked the right surgeon 4 the job so no worries there, you will probably end up meeting someone on here before you go and if not you will definitely meet people while your over there, dr chris seems to band about 7 / 8 patients a day, goodluck x

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
