Hope please do come - I have only been banded about 6 weeks and am anxious to lose this weight - I am slowly getting filled and talking to Lori and Donna is wonderful support. We won't be hard to miss - the laughter will give us away.

Hi

Well I'm 2 weeks pre-op and I feel pretty darn good. I'm down 20lbs :clap2:and I feel really good. I was a little grumpy:mad: on Thursday night but I got over it. I'm very excited about Friday coming up. I'm doing a big Thanksgiving meal as I have 6 children and they are all coming home plus my parents so that should be interesting. Then Tuesday is my birthday. I think I am giving my self the best present ever, my life .

Question :help:is it normal to think look I'm losing weight do I really need to do this?I find myself thinking this, but in the same time I haven't been able to do it so far so why do I think I could do it now. Also i keep thinking what if I'm the one person this doesn't work on? Is it normal to have these last few thoughts??? Any way I'm looking forward to meeting you all on the 28th.

Happy Thanksgiving:hungry: everyone!

Hi Hope

It is perfectly normal to think that you can do this, i asked the same question of myself, why can't i stay on the Optifast instead of having to pay all this money for surgery. My husband said you could but would you keep the weight off, and we all know the answer to that question.

The band will be succussful for you just as is was for all of us. :woot:

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone ;)

Jurema ~ Port Hope in east on the 401 past Newcastle. The exit is number 464. Then go north it is just over the bridge. You can actually see it from the 401 exit. I really hope you'll come cuz I would love to see you again~

Hope ~ I remember wondering if I would ever eat a hamburger again and many other things. I think all of us bandster know how to and can lose weight. Our problem is keeping it off. We have all lost weight and put it and more back on. This should put an end to that for all of us. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Loriely

I sent out a reminder last week and you are the only one who replied... I don't know who is coming but if it's just you and I do you still want to go ahead?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
