You just have to buckle down and do what you have to do. This journey requires grit and perseverance. Trust me, it is only going to get more difficult before it does get easier. And even when it does get easier, EVERYTHING is dependent on you making good choices with regard to food and drink. That is why changing your relationship with food is an absolute must to have any meaningful success.

Good luck!

I found what worked for me to lose some weight u might want to try it and see if this works for you.

Breakfast: slim fast shake (4 hr hunger control ) 8 Oz of 1% milk I scoop of slim fast and ice and blend

Lunch: I made enough to make 2 portions one for dinner.

Dice up egg plant, carrots, tomatoes, onions, green onions, bell peppers, broccoli, colliflower, season with whatever seasoning u like. I used adobo cumin , black ,pepper, garlic and lime juice sautéed it. And u can pair it with 3 Oz lean meat fish, turkey, chicken I cook it in my my wave oven. And I take a tablespoon og low fat Greek yogurt and hot sauce. And omg it's delish.

Dinner: Eat second portion of lunch same way.

Eat raw carrots when u have a craving to eat in between. You will lose weight eating this everyday and those 10 lbs will come off in no time. Try it.

Yes I know it will become boring eating this everyday but it worked for me. I actually love it.

Good luck.

Julio

Think about it this way, you have probably lost and gained 10 pounds several times in your life and this will be the last time you have to do it without the aid of your sleeve! You can do it!

I just started early changing things gradually. Like no soda, more Water and no fried foods then try walking more or dancing I do Zumba. You'll be shocked what little changes you can make to get great results. Oh ask you nutritionist for a diet plan : )

In addition to the food recommendations, definitely walk, walk, and then walk some more. Try to get as many steps in throughout the day, climb the stairs etc...this will help boost your energy too.

Good luck, you got this. Your gonna do great!

I had the same problem! Got all the requirements done by Oct but it took until now to lose the last 10 lbs (I had to lose 22). All that works for me is to go high protein/low carb and be super strict. Protein shakes, chicken, cheese, steamed veggies, Water. That's what I've been eating. Haven't had bread or Pasta or anything else like that since Christmas. I was stuck with 6lbs to lose at my Dec appt (22nd) and finally hit my goal this week. I hope to lose another 1-2 before my appt next week to be safe :)

I won't lie, the first two weeks was hard! But I've been doing this for 8 months and I'm ready to move forward so I just pushed through.

Good luck!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
