I refuse to weigh myself right now... our bodies were cut open- we've got some serious swelling going on!

Give yourself a break- concentrate on healing well and getting those nourishing fluids in.

I had surgery on the 10th- band to sleeve conversion. I've slept lots- we heal when we are sleeping.< /p>

@@20mustang02 totally 100% normal. Everyone is different and depending on how big you were depends on how much weight you lose and how fast you lose it. My dad was well over 300 and he dropped weight like bowling balls. I was smaller so it was only 4 or 5 pounds a week. You were just cut open so you have Water weight and your body is in shock. Give it a few days.

I also got REALLY tired and weak...that's normal too for about 2 months. You're healing.

Best of luck to you!

Linda

Have any of you that had the surgery around 1/10-1/11 gone #2 yet? This is the last thing I "need" to do before I feel like I'm fully functional..if that makes any sense.

I was sleeved on 1/11. I was tired for three days but think it was the pain meds. I stop pain mads three days after and I felt better. Everybody is different I've lost a total of 8 pounds since the 11th. I'm on liquid diet and following it exactly. I do also walk a lot. I still have a little pain but Tylenol worked well and I'm still gassy. I know it's just a matter of letting our bodies heal right now and not concentrate on weight loss. It will happen

I was sleeved on 11/28/16. I also didn't see a difference becuz of the gas n iv fluids. I was off work for 3 wks becuz of the nature of my job, and I slept a lot. Plus, look at everything your body just went thru, it needs time to adjust to ur new stomach. It's true you heal when you sleep and by me sleeping a lot, when I went back to work I felt great, I had restrictions of course.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
