Pre-op Testing

My surgeon only ordered chest -X-ray, labs & EKG. I wonder if this is enough?? He feels like it is. Anyone in a similar situation ?

I had the same tests plus an arterial blood gas, full respiratory testing, and an upper GI

I read so many other doing endoscopes or EGD plus sleep apnea tests.

I had the same plus an upper GI. No EGD thankfully.

I had to do labs, chest xray, some metabolic rate test. Breathing test, psych, sleep study,stress test and that ended up for me having to have an angiogram. I'm done with everything and it's a waiting game now for insurance approval. Was submitted last friday. Ughhhhh.

I had an echocardiogram, venous study, and a stress test. Their cardiologist reviewed my tests and gave the green light that I would be able to withstand the surgery.

My insurance didn't require a psychological evaluation. I'm so glad!
