Lose weight in face?

Recommended Posts

I lost 70 lbs since April surgery...about 25, 30 left to go. How do I lose weight in the face...i dont have loose skin per se...but my cheeks are sagging. 42 years old, but look younger so its not that...does the face skin tighten up last?

Great question. I have lost almost 30 lbs. I'm 45 yrs. old. I hope that my face won't be this big forever.... and the saggy double chin really bothers me.

Do side by side pictures of your face before and after weight loss. My guess is you both have lost a lot in your faces, everyone does.

Different people lose weight in different places. I lose my weight top down. The top part of my body shows the loss the most. My face slimmed down pretty fast, but I never had a really fat face or neck.

If you want to lose weight in your face, just keep losing. The weight has to come from some place and it will come from everywhere as you keep losing.

I am losing weight sort of like @@OutsideMatchInside - from the top down. I just posted two days ago about my helmet I wear for work fitting looser, especially around my cheeks. I just hope the loss continues, and rapidly. I would hate to end up looking like a pear. :o

I'm not pear shaped either. It just seems like the excess weight I had at top wasn't as stubborn as the rest of the weight. That weight came off really fast and it made a big impact because I didn't have all that neck fat that some people have. Like I could always wear normal chokers and stuff.

I did not mean to imply you were, so please forgive me if that was the impression I gave. I would have no idea. I was just expressing a concern about how I am losing weight from the top down, although my nether regions seem to have diminished somewhat as well. It looks like my spare tire is going to be the last to go, which is what inspired my pear shaped comment.

I didn't think you were. I am just saying it seemed to be a less stubborn fat. I have lost fat equally all over but it seems like when you lose it above your ribs it makes a huge impact very fast.

Good, I am relieved. I can create ill will well enough with strong statements without having to do it unintentionally. The whole "above your ribs" thing might be less of an issue for me, but I do feel like everything is going before my middle. That's not 100% rational, but it is my perception nonetheless.

Lucky dogs! I'm shaped like a "V". Much bigger on top. Even with 32" pants my shirts come untucked and my pants try to slide down.

Most of my weight was in my middle, so what I have left is in my middle. It is frustrating but it is what it is.

I've been so big for so long that I completely expect a turkey neck...

Well I am working real hard at getting my V shape back, only with muscles showing again. ;-)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
