  5. I lost 70 lbs since April surgery...about 25, 30 left to go. How do I lose weight in the face...i dont have loose skin per se...but my cheeks are sagging. 42 years old, but look younger so its not that...does the face skin tighten up last? Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
  6. My a1c was 13.5 in July 2015. By the time I had the sleeve surgery this April it was 6.8 with meds (no insulin).now it is hovering between 5.7 and 6 with no meds. Not cured but close. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

  8. All I have lost 60+ lbs in the 3 months since post open, but I am losing strength...like I can only bench 60 to 70 percent of what I used to before surgery. I don't want to get a trainer bc I don't want them to try to tell me what to eat or admit that I had surgery to some meathead trainer in the gym. Recommendations? Eating about 900 calls per day, 90 grams Protein...minimal carbs...I get fats from peanuts. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

  14. Hi all...sleeved 4/21...lost 59 lbs since day of surgery. Was feeling sluggish/weak for 2 weeks or so, I added some fats into my diet ( 200 cal or nuts to replace a Protein bar)...granted it's 98degrees here in Philly since last week, but still, I usually burn at least 3500cals /day take in about 1k. Drink 80 oz + of Water. For the past 3 days, I have gained 1.5 lbs /day. But I feel more energetic, what is going on? I need to lose 33 more lbs...cant start turning back now. Help! 15. My sugars stabilized post op but I can't say I am cured. No meds, but doing alot to keep bg levels below 100. Gone up after I returned to work, had been in 70s 80s right after surgery. Sent from my ONE A2005 using the BariatricPal App

  17. So, I decided to up my Water intake. My sugars started creeping up since I have returned to work so I am trying different things. I drink about 1 gallon per day not including my Protein shake(s). I am peeing much more though since. My original target was 50 oz of water...but I read a few articles that said people should drink at least 2/3 of their body weight...I am 263 lbs right now so that would be alot more than 1 gallon. Am I doing damage or expanding my stomach by drinking this much? FYI sleeved on 4/21...down 45 lbs, 40 left to go. Sent from my ONE A2005 using the BariatricPal App

  19. Is that book good so far?I may have to pick it up. I was speaking moreso on my behalf, my regulating mechanism is not wanting to go back on meds. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  20. Were u diabetic before sleeve?not going back on meds is enough motivation Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  21. Just to bring it back to the OP...the other feedback my surgeon and nurse/ nutritionist gave me was to stop obsessing and stop weighing myself for a few days. It seems to contradict what we were told in the classes but my Dr says the rules change a bit when you are Type A. We will see.… Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  22. Wow, I am surprised you didn't wind up with herniated incisions.I tested it started with general stretching and progressively built it up. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and I probably should have kept my mouth shut. I just felt like I knew my body well enough to test. Plus prior to surgery I was lifting 4x week...didn't want to lose my core strength. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
