I was banded on 9/5 and I too have back pain-i think a lot of it is the gas pain-just get up and walk as much as possible-this will help alleviate the pain- I have 6 incisions- I think I had some scar tissue from a previous surgery that is why I have 6 incisions and not 5.

days 3,4, and 5 were really rough. I am feeling pretty good now-just some back pain-and a little pain in my port area-I am having trouble also getting in all the liquids- But I have been improving over the last couple of days- it is pretty much all about planning-I feel like I have to plan to get all my liquids in- I have yet to get 8 glasses of Water in one day.I guess it is just a work in progress and it will get better each day. I have been getting hungry though- I still have two more weeks of liquid.arg..but on the positive side the numbers on my scale has been going down so no complaints there.

Hi!

I was banded on 9/11 as well. I have 4 incisions. The back pain has been my biggest issue so far -between the gas pains and not being able to sleep on my side. But I have found that getting up and moving around as much as I can is the best thing for it.

I have 5 incisions and one is right under my bra line right between the boobs. Pretty weird if you ask me. I feel like crap, back hurts all the time. I can not take my pain meds because oxycontin is way to strong for me. I am supposed to go back to work Monday and I feel like I want to sleep all the time. I have zero appetite. Blahhhhh is how I feel.

I was banded 09-07-07. I feel pretty good, except for the back pain and I feel that my esophagus is full. I attribute the back pain for too much walking. I need to take it easy. I am so glad I had this surgery. ;)

Do you have any bloating in the stomach? My stomach is soooo bloated, It is finally starting to go down. I'm too afraid to weigh yet because I know alot of it is Water bloat and still being swollen from the surgery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
