Goal weight achieved!

Recommended Posts

Congrats, I'm concerned cause it's not coming off fast enough for me. It's been 8 weeks and 50 lbs but when I look in the mirrors I see the exact same body before surgery. I congratulate you it gives me motivation

50 pounds in 8 weeks! That is amazing! I am sad you can't see the difference- which I am sure is a huge difference

I am 14 weeks out and have only lost like 45!

Hi everyone!

Well as of 11.9.16 (just under 8 months post WLS) I hit my goal weight. SW: 256 CW: 166. I have not been this weight since I was 23 years old. I think that I will have a better body and health at the age of 40 than I was a 21.

How long has it taken some of you to hit your goal weight? Has anyone been told by those around you that you have lost weight too fast?

I just had to share the news with everyone here. I know that everyone would understand my excitement unlike those in my life that have not had the surgery!

I felt the same way, try taking pics every 10 lbs. It doesn't seem like a difference until you look at the pics

I take pics every 3 months (well special milestone pics) and it's great seeing the difference. I only weigh myself at doctors appointments.

It took me a year to lose to my goal of 150 (85 pounds. Slow, I know), but I continued to lose for several months after that. Don't be surprised when you do, too. As long as you're within a healthy range, lose as much as your body let's you!

I reached goal at about 7 months (from 219 HW/185 SW to 125). I was told by several people (including one nurse in surgeons office) that I was losing weight too fast. However I think that a lot of people lose at this pace if they follow the rules.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
