Getting Bored with Full Liqiuds

Recommended Posts

I have 4 more days to be on liquids and full liquids. I'm getting so bored with the full liquids yogurt, cream Soups, Jello, pudding. Anyone have any full liquid ideas that would help make it more creative for me to eat??? I pray I can move to pureed next week. I have so many Pinterest ideas for pureed foods I can hardly wait to try them out.

It is not a very creative phase. I did begin using different flavor drops I my Water so I got a better variety of tastes. Mostly I was happy with cream Soups because once on solids I didn't want to have them due to carbs.

I'm on full liquids and I wanted to switch it up a bit I added 1 tbsp of regular Peanut Butter. Do you think that's bad or should I eliminate it ? This is my 4 the day of liquids and I only tried the Peanut Butter for today just one tbsp the whole day. What are your guys thoughts???

Peanut butter is not on my full liquids list. I wouldn't use it. I'm just a stick to the plan person because there is reason why it's not on the full liquids list. What is keeping me focused is that I don't want to cause damage to my healing sleeve like a leak or any other possible issue that could arise. Plus, I have noticed a change in how I look at food while I've been on full liquids. I would suggest asking your Nutritionist or Dr/RN. In my opinion though don't have peanut butter.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
