hang in there! you can do it! I went for close to 3 weeks with less than 1 cc in my band after getting stuck on something and having a lot of swelling. I vowed to not gain any weight and actually lost >8 lbs. Yes I did let myself have a few things I normally can't easily eat (hamburger with bun) but didn't have fries with that etc.

you can do it!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, when I was last (and first) defilled, I gained 10 lbs in a glorious 2 weeks, BUT once I was re-filled, I lost it again in less time than that. It's no biggie. Enjoy your 'time off', just not TOO much. ;)

But hey, better than I was a year and a half ago.

Will I go for another fill? It is a question I keep asking myself over and over again. I have only had the 1 initial fill a year and a half ago (10 weeks post op). This has meant I have had only minor restriction... but that is fine as it is a tool. But... I might just need that extra kick to get to the finish line... we'll see.

Deltadawn, Tonks, I was stuck for 6 months. I went in for a fill.

At this point even a .1 or .2 fill will make a difference.

I was vomiting for a day and half. Scary experience, posted on the support board. So anyway, puked for a day, didn't eat one thing, never lost an ounce......

Focusing on rehydrating today and bleaching every surface in the house. DH had it, I got it next, 3 kids still healthy, knock on wood.

Stay healthy folks.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
