I'm a 44 yr old mother of 3. I was sleeved on 10/19/16. Pre op weight was 388 and im now two weeks post op and 370. I can't help but feel dissapointed. I feel like HOW is my fat surviving on this restricted diet??? Am I in freakn starvation mode????? And I was very hungry 24 hrs post 6and able to eat a bowl of browth and drink with no prob. Idk where that "2 spoon fulls and im stuffed" sensation is but I missed it. I do however get full from my Protein shakes thank God. It's like eat slow..loose fast is what I was expecting but it turned out to be a much slower pace

congrats on the surgery Angel. Don't be disappointed - 18 pounds is so much weight!! that is about 2 1/2 newborn babies worth of pounds that you aren't carrying around anymore.

And now you are on your way to your goal, and you body will get you there on its unique schedule.

You're doing great. I've found the surgery is not about losing fast as much as it is about losing consistently. Stick with it.

@@deeveg thank u and congratulations on your journey as well. But u see, I was fully expecting to be 50lbs lighter for my return to work transformation and my on purpose accidental bumping into my ex telling him to go to hell moment. This process needs to hurry along if I am to stay on schedule with my transformation/diss ????

LOL at your transformation diss... I was a "slow loser" from jump. The first 2 weeks after surgery I was only down like 9 pounds. I was pissed! But stay the course and in a few months you'll probably be down 100 pounds...

In my own previous weight loss experience, I lost 100lbs over 18 monthts doing Keto. 250 to 150, and I had virtually no loose skin. I only started working out at 15 months, and had already lost 75lbs so it wasn't because of working out.

Slower weight loss may be frustrating, but in my experience it is better in the long run!

Hi. The feelings are normal. I felt that way right after being sleeved but it went away after 2 weeks. I was sleeved may 2015.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
