7 days post op and I just want to eat[emoji30]

Recommended Posts

Just hang in there - do you have a ppi (acid reducer) you take? It can mimic the feeling of hunger if not. One day at a time - definitely don't let your head win. Leaks are horrible.

I had sleeve done on the 10th and I feel the same way. I want to cry and it does not help that my husband is cooking the kids all my favorite foods.

Ladies, do you not understand that what you are doing is dangerous? You can land yourself in the hospital with major complications.

This isn't just a physical journey. The mental part is the real struggle. If you can't get control of relationship with food when it is dangerous to eat what are you going to do when you are able to eat regular food?

Why did you get the surgery? Do you want to succeed? Do you want to be slim and healthy?

Don't make excuses. Do something else. Call a friend. Go for a walk. Hit a punching bag. But

DO.NOT.EAT unless you have been cleared to do so by you doctor.

@itzbrittanyx3, I am by far the wrong one to give advice but I will tell you what I am feeling. I am 5 days out. Drink ALL my Water eat 2-3 popscicles a day a tiny bit of yogurt to take my meds. I AM HUNGRY your not the only one. I have been shamed on here from @@Babbs for asking what ppl are slowly introducing as the days go on. I sent him a copy of my discharge instructions because I know he didn't believe me. All it did was break down the different stages but gave NO TIMEFRAMES. So I feel at this point it's worth getting other sleevers inputs//--- besides @@Babbs. Read through and you can get some good ideas

I have been reading other comments you have made on other people's post. I just wanted you to know that when you get yours and you need someone to just agree and understand where your coming from. I hope that you dont get someone like your self that will kick you when your already down.

All my years of fighting for this and preparing my self for this and it still is messing with me.

Good luck on your journey.

You see what you want to see honey. I don't kick people when they are down, but I also will not lie to you and say what you want to hear when you are doing things that are harmful.

When I am fortunate enough to to be post-op I will follow all the rules because I've been reading and researching this process for months and I know the rules are there to keep me safe.

I do no lie to myself and I don't make excuses. I do occasionally make mistakes. I do not say "I can't" I say I will try.

I'm sorry you think I'm mean. You aren't the first and you won't be the last.

If you are really interested in what I post then stick around because you might find out I'm a huge cheerleader and believer in the power of positive thinking.

Your success is up to you. No surgery or other person can define your success. It is all on you. You are in control.

May you have a wonderful journey of self discovery and weight loss.

I'm basically in tears because I want to eat.. this is so pathetic... I still have a whole week left of my liquid diet [emoji19]Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Get busy cleaning a closet, rearrange drawers, and paint a room if you can. It kept me sane and occupied!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
