September 25, 20169 yr If so, what do you eat it with? I am 1 month out and able to eat anything now. Just want something easy on the stomach. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
September 25, 20169 yr Initially I used to eat it on thin slices or sticks of cucumber... now I eat it with carrot sticks Enjoy Kate
September 25, 20169 yr In small amounts because it is so high calorie and high carb. I like it as a bit of binder with chopped hard boiled eggs, or just have a few small spoonfuls on its own.
September 25, 20169 yr I like it and I still eat it periodically. When I first tried it, I stayed away from the roasted red pepper version and stuck with the bland original, because my stomach was not a fan of things with flavor. Now though, in small servings, any variety is a nice treat. I try to avoid eating it very often because it has a lot of sodium and calories, although the calories are not the bad kind. Hummus for me is like avocado...good fat that is nice to have in limited portions.
September 25, 20169 yr I'm going to try it for the first time post-op this week. I'll have a bit of it mixed in with chicken that I cooked and ran through the food processor, instead of making a chicken salad with a bit of mayo or greek yogourt.
September 25, 20169 yr I love baby carrots now lol and I'll have to try hummus before I could eat the hole container in two days lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

September 26, 20169 yr I was traveling and bought the packaged hummus with pretzels. I know pretzels aren't ideal. But half the container was my lunch. It was delicious. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
September 26, 20169 yr What is hummus. I have never heard of it . Lol yes I live a sheltered life lol. I am 16 months out and I still don't like the feeling of eating anything that has a solid base as in meats. I eat very small portions. I eat alot of my own possessed veggies out of my garden . I made a mild salsa . Grandma's old Recipe it called for sugar so I used stevia instead and it turned out great . I put it on all my meats and they are much easier to get down Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App
September 26, 20169 yr Ok. I have to show my stupidity. I though the header said: "Anyone eat humans?" Think I need glasses Or..... Is the OP a zombie who recently had WLS and was on an all animal brain pre-op diet? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
