  5. So I had my first NUT appointment on September 26 2016. I was not given a "diet" but was told to make better decisions about food. The first week was great but a few days in, the cravings started hitting me hard. I did give in, not going overboard as I normally would. I did have a couple of candy bars this month, not at once! I have had fast food a couple times and ate half a pancake at a diner. I have not had a soda since the 26th of September. It's been all Water, no juice, seltzer etc. here I am this morning stepping onto the scale only to see the numbers are not really moving This is the story of my life. I make a little headway and stall out to nothing. I'm hungry. I feel drained and unhappy. I don't think food will make me happy, but it sucks to give up things and not really see any progress. Any other time I would say EFF THIS, And go back to eating till I am full, not counting calories or minding the carbs and down a ice cold coke. This time it's different. I know that in just a couple months I will have a tool to aid me in removing this curse that I manifested myself. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. I told my MIL, she in turn told my FIL. She's all for it, he like my hubby is just scared. We all agreed not to tell anyone till I am ready too. I have told 2 of hubbys cousins wives because we are super close, and they need to understand why I won't be doing the usual cake, coffee and booze with them anymore. I guess the best way to describe our family/ culture is, think Goodfellas. We only deal with each other. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I'm accessing the app on iPhone. When you tap timeline, everything is mixed. Your getting all the Categories as people are posting to them. Maybe it should allow an option to select a section and see its timeline. Now, @@LipstickLady How soon after surgery CAN I GET THOSE 10 TACOS AND 3 BEERS? of course I am kidding. I'd be scared I would explode. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Ive got the same thing. The nutritionist just wants me to make better choices. Not an actual diet. I wasn't given a calorie/carb restriction, just a sheet of paper with healthier choices. I am doing my best to avoid over eating and staying away from candy, cake, bread etc. and I'm down 14lbs. I did ask why I'm not required to do liquid diet for a longer period. She said my surgeon does not like to have people on it that long because it tends to makes some people crave foods they shouldn't have straight out of surgery. Maybe the extended liquid is why we see so many ask if it's bad they ate tacos, pizza etc 1week out? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Ladies, chicks, girls, women... calm down! We all know, WE actually run the show. It is US who let them take the lead, therefore them letting us take the lead is just us really having control. yes. I meant to confuse you. Guys if you really want an excellent date, be rich, handsome, charming and witty. If you can't be any of those things, just be real. If your a talker, Yap her ear off. If your a jerk, be a jerk (some chicks dig that) if your boring... well... just stay home Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. I'm so confused. So her surgery weight is most people's goal weight? Most of you are low to mid 200's with goals around 125-150. What surgeon would do weight loss surgery on someone 125-150!? I couldn't get a diet pill at 140lbs let alone surgery. Carp... she will make you feel like an over populated fish? What platform is she available on? You know, cause she's a game that people tried to play. Sticking to your diet once you are cleared for solid food... Uh, ????? good advice! 24. Well now I am getting jealous. All my NUT gave me at first PREOP appointment was a blue page about Mediterranean diet, one yellow page with activities to do when I am board and an orange page saying I should get a toy box and place it in my kitchen, fill it with activities and open it when I "think" I want to eat. @@OKCPirate we was on that vape bandwagon a couple years ago. For some odd reason all I taste is metal when I vape. I had cheap vape and very high end vape different tips different tanks and coils, pre made and handmade. But I can't shake that metal taste. My father who smoked 3-4 packs a day for God only knows how many years started vape around the same time and has not had a cigarette since! Most of my friends who vape went back to smoking as well but that small handful still vape. I think it's just to much for me at one time. I know I will quit before surgery. I just need to adjust to the food lifestyle first. As I mentioned in another post... I don't want an issue coming off the ventilator or healing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
