October 2016 Bypass Buddies?

Recommended Posts

Had mine the 27th, now a little more than two weeks out, and I'm down 20+ pounds since my surgery date, and down a pants size.

My doctor put me on puréed foods on Tuesday. He's got me on Protonix for a year, to keep the acid down while everything heals up.

Everything has been fairly uneventful so far.

My surgeon is pleased with my progress, and wants to see me again in two months.

Hello October Buddies

Everything went well. I still can't drink 64 ozs of Water and I'm only eating food for dinner(6 weeks out). Breakfast and lunch lm drinking Protein shakes. Just can't seem to eat. In a strange world now, I don't like food. It is great to hear from everyone. Stay Healthy.

My surgery was oct4. Down nearly 40 from highest weight. Am now in regular food sticking to plan. Very close to if not hitting Water goals most days. Hitting Protein every day (still do 1 shake a day) have clocked just under 12k steps today.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
