Life Insurance... Any success getting a good rate since WLS?

Recommended Posts

Background I tried to get life insurance when my son was born 7 years ago. I was in my 30s overweight and on many medications. Needless to say the rate was terrible and I passed. Now I am in my 40s and normal BMI with no HBP, no issues with cholesterol and really only taking prevacid.and allege meds. So has weighing less help anyone? I am the picture of health but assume my medical history and age could hurt me still. Let me know what your experience has been.

I'm curious about this. This was one of my motivations to lose weight, to get decent life insurance rates.

Same here.... It has been my motivation for 7 years. I actually bring in over half the income. Still close to 50/50 but tips in my favor. Loss of my income would really hurt my family.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
