My relationship is on the rocks!

Recommended Posts

I thought getting thin would solve all our problems but I now think it is going to cause more! I am only at the start of my journey and already arguments are starting over money, all our differences seem to be coming to the forefront and I am seriously on the brink of leaving if he won't. But how do you know when to stop trying, after 7 years I have dedicated all my life to him and now I don't know what to do?!

This is supposed to be an exciting time for me but I am so worried about things.;)

Fairydust, This Could Be A Hard Time. Do You Have Any Children? That Makes It Harder. Do You Think He Might Be Willing To See Someone To Talk About Your Problems? If Not A Councler Than Your Minister. With A Minister It Is Free And I Know That Is One Of The Problems. I Believe You Need To Seek All Avenues First Before You Call It Quits. A Relationship Lasting 7 Yrs Is A Long Time To Give Up On. I'm Sorry He Is Not There For You. If He Can Not Give You The Support You Need With The Band And All That You Are Doing, Then Remember Us. We Will Be Here For You.

I Will Keep You In My Prayers And Hope With Time, This Will All Work Out. Talking Should Be A Good Thing. Good Luck

Your post has had a lot of views, and only one reply so far, and I think that's because the first thing many people are thinking is "Why did you think being thin would solve your problems?"

There shouldn't be any physical trait that anyone has that if changed, would solved all of the problems they have with another person. Honestly, if that were true, the other person wouldn't be worth being with, in my opnion.

I don't know what your issues with your husband are, but my sister and her husband are having some significant issues right now, and what my mom said to my sister was "Stick it out until you are sure you have no doubts about ending it".

Good luck getting this all sorted out.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
