When did you start feeling more energy? I'm almost 6 weeks out, have lost about 50 including pre op diet. I feel pretty good, but about the same as I did before surgery. I keep hearing that I'll feel so much better and I'll have so much more energy buy I'm just not seeing it. Doing really well with getting Protein Fluid and Vitamins, just still tired a lot, which was a big problem for me for a long time, I blame the sleep apnea. Maybe when I e lost enough that that clears up I'll feel it?

It all depends on how much weight you have to lose. I started feeling the energy right around 8 weeks post op and it only got better from there.

Also exercise add energy itself. Endorphins will give you elevated mood too.

It was about the 6 weeks, two month mark for me. One day you'll just suddenly wake up and feel more energetic. And after a year... it'll seem like you're aging in reverse. It's incredible how fit and healthy I feel now. At least 20 years younger. Hang in there. The best is yet to be!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
