Not sure if this has been posted before or not, but this is probably the best article that I have read since having surgery.

http://www.bariatriceating.com/2015/03/why-everything-in-moderation-is-bariatric-baloney/?utm_campaign=Everything_In_Moderation_Support&utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=3-10-16

Prior to surgery, I thought that I would be able to be an "Everything in Moderation" kind of person, but knew right away that that would never work for me.

@@Hagengirl3 thank you for the article. I have been thinking a lot about this topic - the continuum of abstinence to excess with moderation in the middle.

I know for me, there are some things I can do in moderation but some that I cannot due to wanting more and more and I need to abstain.

I know some people that abstinence only works, and others who have found moderation works for some things. In my experience moderation is a lot more work so it does not become a slippery slope to excess.

It is interesting to see the different viewpoints on BP about this topic, but I believe that we can only determine this for ourselves, not what works for someone else.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
